The problem that they always have us that they have to compare everything to us or think they are getting one over on us.

 

That and the slightest bit of positivity gets blown out of all proportion and they get far too ahead of themselves. Suppose its not surprising when you've been shite for so long and the majority of the fanbase are miserable bastards so they cling onto any bit of hope. The letdown is then harder to take.

They'll have fallen further than expected if they're longing for the days of a stadium update after a Derby defeat. What would they do to console themselves after an Exeter, Accrington or Forest Green defeat?

It's the inferiority complex that they cannot get rid of. It's almost impossible to get rid of it until they keep comparing to us. 

 

Like someone living in a 2 bed terraced home constantly comparing with a wonderful family living in a 6 bedroom house down the road. Spitting and showing faces when walking past them or their house isn't going to achieve anything. It will only make the wonderful family think what a weird cunt you are. Which is how we look at them.

I don't see how it's clutching at straws though. Valencia have got a stadium that's way beyond where Everton's is and have for a decade. They're still trying to finance it. Only a month or so ago, moshiri was trying to sell the club to Peter Kenyon and they're hundreds of millions in debt, with a wage to turnover ratio at around 95% at a point we are heading into a massive recession with skyrocketing inflation. Oh and there cash cow has been sanctioned and can no longer help them out.

Im not sure of that. The PL doesnt give a fuck about its FFP. The shite have now spent more on transfers than they got for Richie la. The PL said they were 'working' with the shite to get their £350m debt down.

 

How does that work when the club has spent more on transfer ins than it got for transfers out?

 

Boehly's been given a £200m free hit, unchallenged by FFP for transfers as a condition of buying the club from Abramovich and still seems to be spending way above that.

 

Usmanov could be shovelling loads of cash indirectly into everton and nothing would be done.

During a cost of living crisis clubs will still raise prices and pay the very average players normal peoples yearly salary each week- and they will get away with it and people will still go to the games as well as pay Sky Subscriptions etc
