*Shakes head* Everton again.

Wonder if that fella who took a knife into the Gwladys Street at the Newcastle game and gave it to the steward to cut the protester loose was there again?. The steward actually gave him it back too. Could have easily got on the pitch and stabbed someone.

I'd be worried about our players next season or one of their dickheads trying to punch Klopp. One of them got on the pitch at Norwich to try to assault Rafa.

They are ridiculous hypocritical twats. They lose the plot if someone gets shoved in a fountain but all this is OK.

This is like some discarded early Monty Python sketch: 'You've broken the rules'. 'No we haven't!' 'Oops, sorry to have troubled you!' The pressure to stop the Super League showed that the football authorities CAN be forced into acting, and yet the passivity and fatalism over the failure to enforce FFP continues. No real investigative reporting outside of Der Spiegel, and only the odd very half-hearted remark in passing elsewhere. Really pathetic.

Everton recorded losses totalling £371.8 million over the last three years.

The Premier League’s profit and financial sustainability rules allow clubs to lose a maximum £105 million over a three-year period or face sanctions which include points deductions for serious breaches.

An Everton spokesman told The Times: “We have worked so closely with the Premier League to make sure we are compliant, we are comfortable we have complied with the rules.

When announcing their annual results in March, Everton said £170 million of the losses were related to the “dramatic and ongoing financial impact” of the Covid pandemic. That was far more than other clubs in the Premier League with Aston Villa stating that £56 million was lost due to Covid and Newcastle United putting the figure at £40 million.

Everton have also continued to spend on transfers this season and in the January window brought in defender Vitaly Mykolenko for £17 million, Nathan Patterson for £12 million, and deals for Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek.

Everton only generated £14 million a season from matchday income pre-pandemic, and in March said the impact of Covid on the transfer market had also contributed to their losses.

The club said in a statement in March: “Losses of at least £170 million are attributed to the impact on the club of the Covid-19 pandemic, with £103 million of that figure coming in the 2020-21 financial year. Continued investment in the playing squad, coupled with the impact of the pandemic, has resulted in the club posting a loss of £120.9 million for the year ending June 30, 2021.

“The wide-ranging impact of Covid-19 on Everton — which further market analysis has indicated could include an additional £50 million — covers lost revenues, additional costs due to strict Covid-19 playing protocols and a significant contraction in the transfer market which resulted in the inability to generate the level of transfer fees which could reasonably have been expected pre-pandemic.”

The statement said the club had also been “working formally with the Premier League regarding its ongoing compliance with Profitability & Sustainability regulations” and had committed “significant amounts to a complex new stadium project” — sums which can also be written off against the £105 million permitted losses.

Kieran Maguire, a football finance author, told The Times that it would be “a steep adjustment” for Everton’s £371.8 million losses to comply with the £105 million ceiling.

I don't get why they are counting transfers for money they could have obtained ifithadntbinfer the pandemic. Surely every other club could do that and pluck a figure out of thin air.

They have loads of shite players on massive money so even pre pandemic the majority of them would just go out on loans with them paying the bulk of the wages. We couldn't get anyone to buy the likes of Aquilani or Markovic and they just went out on loan every season until their contracts finished.

Loads of Italian, Turkish and Portuguese clubs never want to buy anyone outright, they just want cheapo loan deals with low fees based on appearance numbers, then mysteriously stop playing them to avoid shelling out.

Green laser in the face as well. There should be severe penalties, there won’t be of course, they’ll just pay people off.

Even that old hag who slapped the Palace player on the arse, the kid next to her was screaming fuck off constantly at him. The kid looked about 7 or 8. This is what Everton does to you.

Their behaviour was an absolute disgrace, can you begin to even imagine the outcry if that was us.

Just now, Bobby Hundreds said:

I read somewhere that's Evertons covid losses account to 17 percents of leagues total losses. The Premier league accepting that as valid paints the Premier league as completely corrupted by greed.

This is the kind of thing I’m talking about and why nothing substantial will come it all. Last season Man City got to the final of a competition they were banned from. Money is everything

They lost the plot when 2 bottles got thrown at a coach. Then came the murderers and Heysel shouts.

They'll all be waiting for something to happen in Paris next week so they can get on their high horse about it. If not they will make stuff up like they did after the CL Final in Madrid.

They'll be waiting for one report or video where so much as a single red does something stupid in madrid....regardless of how much of a nothing incident it is - then they'll be all up on their moral high horses with all their usual bile....'shaming the city' 'shaming the country' blah blah fucking blah.

They are so fucking predictable...i pity them, as it is all they have really - sad, sad state of what was once a proud and decent fan base....years of being shite and them being so hurt and disappointed by how shite they are has seen them become consumed and it eats away at them and they try and hit out at us constantly to try and deflect and make themselves feel better.....it does not really work and they just get angrier, come out with more laughable shite as a coping mechanism and become more and more desperate and pathetic.

It is so deeply ingrained in so much of their support now and is being bred into their young support too.
