If DaveK has a player valuation of £90m, where does that leave Pilks on a valuation of £2.5m?
Some on here have a higher valuation than that.

If he’s fewming at what is on here, imagine how he’d feel if he paid the Membership fee and read what’s on there!

Just a load of shithouse cunts.

But nice in their own way.

The prized, 512-foot yacht of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov has been seized by German officials today following sanctions imposed by the EU, reported Forbes’ Giacomo Tognini:

Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned by the European Union on Monday. Two days later, Forbes has learned from three sources in the yacht industry that one of his prized possessions—the 512-foot yacht Dilbar, valued at nearly $600 million—has been seized by German authorities in the northern city of Hamburg.

The ship has been in the Hamburg shipyards of German shipbuilding firm Blohm+Voss since late October for a refitting job. Sources who spoke to Forbes said that the German government froze the asset and that, likely as a result, Blohm+Voss employees who had been working on the yacht didn’t show up to work on Wednesday. Representatives for Blohm+Voss and Usmanov didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Usmanov purchased Dilbar in 2016 for a reported cost of $600 million from German shipbuilder Lürssen, which custom-built it for him over 52 months. The firm calls it “one of the most complex and challenging yachts ever built, in terms of both dimensions and technology.” At 15,917 tons, it’s the world’s largest motor yacht by gross tonnage, and is typically manned by a crew of 96 people. Dilbar boasts the largest swimming pool ever installed on a yacht as well as two helicopter pads, a sauna, a beauty salon, and a gym. Its plush interiors have more than 1,000 sofa cushions and it can host up to 24 people in 12 suites.

I know what John Henry's next purchase will be.

Latest set off accounts due before end of this month, normally always published December time alongside an AGM.

Delayed accounts/AGM cancelled makes you think they will have record breaking losses at a time when they’re looking to secure 350m+ in finance to complete the new stadium.

Premier league rules states no more than 105m in losses over 3 season period.

17/18 13m loss

18/19 111m loss

19/20 139m loss they would have breached at this point but due to covid allowances they got off the hook.

20/21 tbc but likely to be a huge loss and breach the p&s rules hence why they never signed any players in the summer and had to sell Digne to fund the Jan transfers.

Now lost circa 20m per year in sponsorship which was highly inflated & need to take on a massive debt that will cost 20-30m per yr to service.

Not looking good for them!

Moshiri is already into them for 685m quid does he look to sell now ( current worth circa 300 m) and write off the loss or twist and finish the stadium but with that debt would need to sell for 1.1b to break even.

Even with the stadium built how much would they be worth?

Stadium resale value + 50p.

Yeah

They got a reprieve as losses rules were relaxed due to pandemic.

But everybody knows they have been in the shite for ages and no sign of getting better.

Revenues not growing....massive wage bill to turnover % (highest in league)....loads wasted on bad signings and manager pay offs...no european footy to boost coffers.....

And of course propped up by Moshiri et al.

Been saying it for ages - it is unsustainable and this now has just accelerated it.

Their only hope is a cheap sale ala Newcastle.

No one will go near them because of the expectation of the stadium, the cost of it has gone up with inflation, Brexit, and materials cost because of their dithering. Goodison is an absolute shit tip, falling apart and generates only £15m. Saying that even if they wanted to redevelop Goodison the price of wood has gone up ridiculously too.

Newcastle were in a fairly good position as they spent fuck all for years with no massive debts and have a decent sized stadium which doesn't need any modernisation .

One must have a heart of stone to read about the demise of little Ev without laughing.

Their next set of accounts are due at the end of March apparently, so we'll have a better idea about the state of their health then. They've only suspended ties with Russian sponsorship, not severed them, and won't be giving any money back that they've had so far. Hedging their bets.

Why would it lead to closing Everton's ground?

Might not be a bad thing for them?

Can only mean Evertons training ground which is sponsored by USM but even then all they would have to do is remove the sign as the council bought it for them.

Usmanov doesn't directly own them, just seems to be weirdly involved in Al their managerial appointments and bungs them a bit of cash every now and again.

They’d then always be the club that had the longest stay in the top division without being relegated.

Only if arsenal got relegated first. Arsenal are the longest stayed club in the top flight stretching back to 1919. The shite are the next longest then us I believe.
