*Shakes head* Everton again.

Fugitive

Fans supposedly protesting the endless bad decisions taken at their club for at least the last 27 years and counting, and then propose a new manager be chosen on the basis that he hates another manager. If he were to actually be appointed, despite any track record or proof of qualification, they would back up that decision to the hilt, and the whole shitshow rolls on until the next inevitable sacking. Another entirely predictable episode, with more protests.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results.

Lampard and Pereira are both unemployed, no negotiations with other clubs or compensation to pay yet Everton are dragging the process out like it's the Apprentice or Dragons Den.

Making sure the transfer window is closed so there are no demands.

Much wailing and gnashing of teeth on GOT. Their new favourite ITK, The Bobble, has Lampard as the heir apparent but getting frustrated as he thought the job was his. Meanwhile Vitor and his staff remain in London, with everyone, including Dunc, to be interviewed by the Poundland Apprentice panel of Mosh, Uncle Uzzy, and Kia Ora tomorrow. Kia Ora is pushing Vitor and pals.

I can see Uzzy getting annoyed, breaking a pool cue, and saying “we’re gonna have try-outs.”

They're shit scared of getting dragged into that relegation fight, and fear makes men do strange things. Ordinarily, letting Ferguson act as caretaker again would be the smartest option, whilst they figure out a proper plan. But their league position is too precarious, so they'll lurch towards anyone they think could give them those half dozen games in an upswing of form that'd see them safe.

Lampard - whatever you think of him - probably gets them safe. The other fella is a complete unknown.
