Evspanyol has to be up there with best demeaning Blueshite terms, sums their status and geo graphical location to a heavyweight up perfectly. Doesn't get used enough in my opinion.

Works better than 1860 Everton.

At least Espanyol have been in a European final since the turn of the century.

As I resemble that remark I'll point out that its total rubbish.
As for Garston and Dingle being mainly Protestant. Isn't the whole point to march around and wind up the local Catholics.
You always get the odd one of course, but usually being a Blue (and a rs for all I know) was always Pan Denominational
As I said I don't think that religion plays any part in the rivalry, it may intertwine with it, on a purely coincidental level, but it has no relevance to the rivalry. I've always found we have more supporters in the North End they have more supporters in the South End, obviously you have plenty of RS in the North End just like you have plenty of Blues in the South End.

I pointed out that we have supporters from all backgrounds, just like they do, however they claim that they are a Socialist club and there are some RS both on Merseyside and in Ireland who claim that they support them due to a mythical connection between Liverpool and Ireland. I was just pointing out that they aren't a Socialist club, and their strongholds in the city, where always associated with the Orange Order. The point I was making is neither club can claim to have a particular religious or political stance and the RS should pack it in, with their fake Scouseness and fake Socialism.

Setting examples now

I have watched it again. It still brings tears to my eyes or happen I am jkust a silly old fool.

The fulfillment of the new stadium and the Goodison project will do more the city than has ever been done by that lot over the way something as Evertonians we sould always be proud of.
I know the first bit especially I was like wow.. real tear jurker, we do have an amazing football team... I honestly cannot think of any other club that does so much for it's own city.

Could of easily sold the land and make some sort of recoup, however the club has decided against this especially during this difficult times.
The club has not only said that we don't want money for the land but have also said we will help regeneration in the goodison areas! Building places that can be used by the people of the city no matter whom you support...

Also they haven't gone and cut corners by the docks but spending over 50m pounds in restoring the old docks and buildings l

Absolutely amazing!!

Setting an example to other city's and leading from the front.

I don't feel we're getting enough credit in the media

All these things he is so tearfully proud of Everton doing... they haven’t actually done them, have they?

I respect what their programmes have done but they fail to mention most of the money came from government grants. We tend not to go public with a lot of our work.

Why do they always go on about this?. That catcher bellend writes dissertations on it and loads of them on Twitter seem to want to force a Rangers-Celtic type scenario.

He blocked me on there for pointing a few facts out to him. I didn't even get chance to call him a cunt For once I was measured and concise, made him look like the lying obsessed cunt he is and the shit-bag just blocked me. Started saying Everton & Celtic had some sort of huge relationship and that Liverpool and r*ngers were hand in hand. Lied that Liverpool fans attacked Celtic fans on Renshaw Street and also refused to reply when I asked him why a gang of Everton fans ambushed a load of Celtic scarfers before Southalls testimonial.

I'm no expert on Scottish footy but Liverpool have always had the affiliation with Celtic from about 1966 when Liverpool played Dortmund at Hampden. My Dad went to the final up there and a load of Celtic pubs and clubs let the Liverpool fans drink in there. It was after an incident at Anfield where someone threw a bottle and it had accidentally hit a Liverpool fan. Also the links between Kenny Dalglish and playing them after Hillsborough.

Liverpool only have Gerrard and suffering two stadium disasters in common. Even in that Louden tavern there's nothing there with links to other clubs. I've seen Hamburg and Chelsea on a few of their flags at games.

I dont think Everton have any affiliation with any other club like that. We all know they support whoever plays us but that's not the same as having a proper relationship with a club. Just like they dont have any rivalry with any other clubs

We used to get Rangers fans on the Kop one week, Celtic another, in the 70s. No bother with either. Probably because we have never needed to mine the depths of sectarianism to feel relevant.

Considering Everton had a big Combat 18 presence even into the 90s they are probably far more aligned to that shithouse of a club than we would ever be.

I remember in the 80s they used to come and take a block in the kemlyn one match a season - I think maybe Celtic was a little less, but rangers always used to come for a game near the end of the season. As you say, never any issue with either.

Espanyol also have a new stadium. Well, new as in about 10 years old. Inside it looks very similar to BMD.

It may look like BMD inside, but does it have that ever present waft of shite in the air from a sewage plant next door ?
