Have they blamed the death threats yet for Pickford's howler tonight?

There wer just a few knobheads on faceless Twitter accounts doing it but the way Evertonians went on about it you'd think it was the scene from Lethal Weapon 2 where someone puts a bomb on Murtaghs bog.

Everything he does in these highlights makes you go "Yeah. That's Jordan fucking Pickford."

The massively over-exaggerated dives, hyperactive flaps and continually making calm down signals when he's franticly all over the place are a real trademark of his.

They are blaming Van Dijk for the Pickford challenge in the Derby now

Van Dyke has previous for studs up tackles that are meant to hurt opposition players. He has executed such tackles on a regular basis and got away with it by the officials. On this occassion he came worst. If you look at where Pickfords leg / shin is in that photo it could have been seriously nasty.
No chance of the media ever doing a frame by frame analysis as it simply does not suit the SKY / PL & media agenda.
That's an ankle breaker potentially by Van Dijk. His foot would have gone across the top of the ball and down and into Pickford's ankle. Pickford possibly sensed as much and adjusted himself for protection. The collision was the result.

It's a case of the biter bitten.

Behave.
I've made many Van Dijk jokes but Pickford would have given away a pen and got sent off if it wasn't for the offside (makes it funnier in my opinion).
Just rewatched it in full. You cannot seriously call Pickfords actions evasive.
At the time though there was barely any fuss on the pitch.
RS media hysteria in full flow started by the usual RS commentators sa soon as was possible.
Anyone who's played football knows that situation Pickford found himself in. You can see the ball in front of you and then you see a pair of studs showing above the top of it. You get out of the way as best you can, even if that means getting both legs off the ground to avoid getting your standing leg or ankle snapped. Pickford;'s momentum then sees him collide with Van Dijk.

Ha, I just watched the highlights and came on to say the same thing. He's wild, manic - all over the place. If you were a defender you'd be constantly on edge with him behind you.

They also blame JFK for getting his head in the way of Lee Harvey Oswald's bullet. His own fault.

This is going to go down well!

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been told by MPs to sanction Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and Everton backer Alisher Usmanov, both Russian oligarchs involved in English football, over human-rights abuses.

Both Abramovich and Usmanov were named by detained Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny last week as people who should be targeted by Western governments in a bid to curb human-rights abuses by Vladimir Putin's Russian state. They were described as 'key enablers and beneficiaries of Russian kleptocracy, with significant ties and assets in the West'.

Navalny, a prominent face of the opposition towards the controversial Russian President, was detained at a Moscow airport earlier this month after spending five months in Germany recovering from nerve agent poisoning that he blames on Moscow.

His detention has been condemned by Governments around the world, with the UK and United States urging Russia to release him.

Labour former minister Dame Margaret Hodge and Liberal Democrat foreign affairs spokeswoman Layla Moran backed the idea to impose sanctions on the likes of Abramovich and Usmanov on Wednesday and challenged the Government in the Commons to take action.

The Government has refused to speculate on future sanctions but Ministers do have the power to impose travel bans and freeze the financial assets of individuals involved in human rights abuses.
