It is up to PL now to put a stop to anyone else gaming the system now.

The 14 fit and healthy players, you play no matter what rule needs enforcing and they need to ensure testing is robust enough to cover games with 48 hr turnarounds (which appears to be how City have gamed system here)

Plus why are teams staying in hotels again...when they started playing again in June it was all in and out on day.

In some ways they shouldn't put a stop to other teams benefitting from it when these cheating fucks have already bent the rules to their advantage.

Aye, but end up with farce if not careful.

I have a sneaking suspicion it is all going to get stopped again like in March anyway.

A total of five players tested positive. We've had more defenders than that out and played games this season. They could have picked a squad and tested them all before the game. They've manipulated the rules again.

When did they get the five positive results? If it was less than 48 hours before the Everton game, then I don't think they could have got players tested in time.

So, the conversation has moved on from "I suspect they cheated" to "they definitely cheated"; presumably, on the basis of some sort of evidence or something.

They had 2 players test positive a few days after the arsenal game with 3 backroom staff also testing positive. They're claiming a further 3 players have tested positive since those other tests. Walker is one of them.

To be honest, Im ok with city being allowed to postpone the EFL game as it adds to their fixture pile up. It's not right though as the EFL summarily chucked one of their own clubs under the bus when in the same position. The cynic in me says the EFL knew they were odds on to have mainly PL clubs in the competition after round 4 and they have more clout.

Im not ok with the PL now saying the 14 player rule will be looked at on a 'case by case' basis. It should apply to all and not be decided on, well, what?

As regards everton, it's a bit of a laugh seeing them and their fans 'fuming' after last season's shout of 'lives matter more.' Except it's not funny. I find hypocrisy abhorent no matter who falls into its grasp. But that's just me.

apparently VAR are being sinister and deliberately not letting Liverpool get any decisions as they don't want Liverpool to take the piss again like they did last year as it was not competitive and therefore bad for future revenues.

All they need is to include thermite melting, flags waving in the air and 5 g causing cancer and we've got koresh-like levels of delusion.

We have also had fcuk Everton and richarlison as its our fault that Thiago is out and he would have won that game for them.

We, by the way are an embarrassment the way we are scraping results and if we were to win anything the value of football would plummet.

I hope we smash City and Liverpool get kicked off the park and everyone of them gets injured shortly before their coach crashes on the way home. As Klopp is cut out of the wreckage the policeman notices what is on his computer screen and he gets put on the Paul Gadd memorial wing of Long Sutton.

'You've got to have a dream if you can't have a dream'

Finally, how woeful was the 'atmosphere' at Anfield when there weren't enough people in to deflect from the piped in 'chanting' that occurs.

They are absolutely bonkers,or at least the Social Media bigmouths. If we didnt have Klopp in charge and they had Ancelotti still they'd at least be neck and neck because we'll probably end up with a shit manager who could work on a budget. Instead of revelling in the fact that they are closer to us than in decades because of that world class manager they are spouting more absolute bullshit again. It benefits them to have no crowds as Ancelotti will be doing Roy Hodgson face palms if any of these nutters got in to watch their team in the PL.
