*Shakes head* Everton again.

We might have gone over a quarter of a century without winning the league, but we still have a smattering of cup victories in that time, as well as a number of near-misses in every competition. They've not won a thing in a quarter of a century, and have only one other near-miss to show for it. It's funny how they've looked less and less likely to reverse that trend the more they've doubled down on the People's Club thing, the redshite conspiracy propaganda and the extreme bitterness.

Whether we clinch the title before we play them, or clinch it at their place, or clinch it a little later in the season, the main thing is that it will be yet another needle piercing their balloons.

A smattering of cup victories which includes twice winning the most prestigious competition, bar none, in club football.

Picture it.

Man City continue to implode and we clinch the title at home against Bournemouth.  Cue celebrations of a level of debauchery not seen since the days of Caligula.

Next match is away at the rotting shed that the rent-dodging cheapskates scurried away to in 1892.  Despite the anguish from the frothing hordes, Kenwright and Ancelotti  have enough old-fashioned grace to ensure the players line up for a guard of honour.  As the booing reaches a vein-bursting crescendo, it becomes apparent that before our players we're sending out our special matchday guests... Clive Thomas, Pierluigi Collina, Graham Poll, Mark Clattenburg...

They'll probably get that ball boy who clapped Jurgen sarcastically the other year to form a solitary guard of honour!

Everton will be delighted with comments made by the former Conservative minister for energy and clean growth...

She said the UK's climate efforts were at "Oxford United levels when we need to be Liverpool if we are going to do what the world actually needs us to do".

If it happens at Woodison then they will follow protocol whatever the rabid dogs in Gwladys St have to say about it.

Ancelotti is far too respectful and professional to do otherwise. They will give us one hell of a game mind.

You're forgetting they made Koeman change his chrissy decs with their outrage. Ancelotti probably still doesnt get the level of hate everton fans will direct towards anything red at the pit in the derby.

Will be interesting to see if Ancelotti puts red decorations on his tree at Christmas!

He's still going to be there at Christmas?

We play palace at home on 21st march at 17.30. city play away to Chelsea at 12.30. I'd be made up winning it in either of those games. What a fucking day that would be. If it's a possibility, I'll be in the pub for about 10 ready for the city game and then I'll go on a fucking none stop party till we do a bus celebration through the city.

There’s enough bad mood between the two clubs, we just want to win the league, we do not care about them.

This guard of honor thing is stupid, as fans we know it’s some times hard to stand other teams.

While you are correct the problem lies in the fact that not a single person or fan associated with Liverpool has mentioned this. They brought it up themselves then went apeshit over it. It's mental and brilliant at the same time.

I have a feeling that Everton securing a result that delayed a Liverpool title win by five days would usurp the 1995 FA Cup and bring them to a state of delirium not seen since 1986-87.

If they end our unbeaten run, they'll release the dvd.

The thing is they would come out with things like "Since Carlo has come in we have improved now we have beaten them. We are making progress, they are a flash in the pan. We are obviously the better side because we have beaten them. If they hadn't paid the league off we would be top of the league mark my words" and they would absolutely mean every word as well.
