Hope they buy Hamez. Thought he might be ok on loan last year when we needed to fill the Coutinho void but he isn't exactly a top player anymore. He's almost 30 and will be ridiculously expensive for them in a transfer fee and wages. In his Wolves match report, Dave talked about how Manchester's Anthony Taylor gets to referee matches involving Manchester clubs. He mentioned that if he were a professional ref, there's no way he'd get the gig to cover games between the likes of City and Everton. I kind of wish someone like Dave DID get that gig because it would be like when they have guest referees for WWE matches. It's an excuse for some ridiculously blatant bias or just taking the piss out of both competitors.

I had to stop about halfway through that thread, it's like a peek into the random thoughts of madmen. davek's demanding that players they don't even have any more (and aren't really that good anyway) should be in the combined team. He and others seem to have massively inflated ideas of the worth of Digne and Gomes too, and most of them appear to think it's a calculated insult from the Echo to Everton- even though none of them apparently read it, so fuck knows why they give a shit anyway.

Regarding the Red Echo, most of the Sports team are Evertonians and the amount of free advertising they get is scandalous given their lowly standing in domestic football, never mind their irrelevance in European and World football.

The Echo get most of their hits from us, a huge amount from local reds, you utilise what will add to your exposure and finances.

What an existence DaveK must have.

 

The stuff he writes makes me think its a red on the wind up, its so absurd. I cant fathom an existence where you either commit to the WUM so consistently, or perhaps more depressing, you actually hold those views.

 

I just read that combined eleven thread after the comments in here and i actually came away feeling sorry for the life some of them must lead.
