Well, for a team that rested players they sure put up a hell of a fight. Maybe the manager thought fresher legs gave them a better chance of getting something from the game? He was almost right. It might help to mention that they were 2-0 down v City and 1-0 down v Norwich with their 'best' players on the pitch and it was their later used players who won those games.

I'd imagine he prioritised the game against the side that's already lost four games (including one against wolves) as the slightly more winnable game...

Or maybe he factored in the fact that our side has been to Qatar and back in the last week or so and therefore might not be in the freshest state right now.

VAR has been used in such a way here this season to hand Liverpool the title. There is not a shadow of a doubt about that. It's been weaponised, and the 13 point lead they have would be 1 or 2 points AT BEST if VAR were used the way it is in other top European leagues.

It's a shocking commercially driven move to guarantee Liverpool a title they could never win by fair play alone.

I’d love to debate this twat face to face. His rant (unintentionally) boils down to a view that we STILL deserve to be top of the league. Don’t cunts like this ever think things through or read what they type before they post?

Given that he’s begrudgingly accepted we should have a two point lead, there is NO POSSIBILITY WHATSOEVER, that we could defend that lead? NO POSSIBILITY WHATSOEVER, that we could extend that lead? And in either scenario, still end up as champions? Really?

Him and his bloo-cunt friends ALL confidently predicted that their team would end up with no points in December. How did that forecast hold up? Sort of proves that future results cannot be predicted with any certainty or accuracy.

So - I ask again - if we play along with and humour these uber jealous babies, who’s to say we still wouldn’t end up champions?

But....if we did, could we then get the asterisk removed?

It's funny I was thinking about this the other day. Last December we beat them at anfield, but they were the greatest team ever to grace that turf and it was the start of the tide turning and they were going to finish top 4. By the end of December they wanted Silva sacked and he never recovered.

This December they got smashed by our milk cup team almost and they thought they were never going to win again and even though we were going to play U23s in the milk cup because of the CWC and they had Leicester to beat, after the fa cup draw was made they were confidently predicting we were going to beat them 3 times in January. Yet they've gone on to be knocked out of the league cup, but have an otherwise decent December for them (3 league wins?) and now they're going to smash us in the fa cup and go on to win the cup and finish top 4!

Fucking mentalists.

The world's most bitter and mental toy soldier, DaveK reckons that both Gueye and Zouma should be in a combined team spanning the entire 12 months of 2019.

That will be the Zouma that was never their player, that they paid Chelsea to develop for them and who hasn't played for them since May.

And the same Gueye that they sold in the summer and who hasn't played for them ….. since May.

The odd call for Pickford and some utter fucking cocksniffer who's taking offence beyond even their usual parameters, saying that the article shouldn't have been posted at all if there were no Everton players in it and it was done purely to kick them while they were down (but haven't they got the best manager in the world and going to win the Cup this season ?I hear you ask) DESPITE it being explained to the soft cunt, that Prentice does this team, EVERY YEAR, no matter the weather or the relative strengths of the respective clubs.
