Is this the same Everton who were the LAST team to have a black player and who threw a yellow fruit at John barnes?

No, couldn't be?

Bastions of multiculturalism that lot are.

One would hope the appointment of ancelotti might see the end of the dead Italian songs and flags from the more cerebrally challenged bloos.

Today marks a huge moment in Everton's journey towards creating a stunning new Dockside stadium - but there are still some crucial stages the club needs to pass before a spade is put in the ground.

Today's submission of planning documents to Liverpool City Council marks the official start of the crucial planning stage of the project - that the Blues hope will land them with the permission they need to start building their new home.

Everton promised that they would submit their planning application for the stadium and they have made good on their word.

But fascinated fans won't be able to see the full plans on the city council's planning portal immediately.

This is not an ordinary planning application - there is a huge number of documents that need to be checked and carefully uploaded to the site by council officers.

With the Christmas break upon us, combined with the size of the task, one can imagine that the full documents won't be released publicly onto the council portal until several weeks into the new year.

When that does happen, fans will be able to delve into the deluge of documents here.

Once submitted, the application will be publicly viewable on the council website and any member of the public will have 21 days to comment on the plans.

While smaller developments can be given approval by the city's planning officers without a public meeting, larger developments like this one will certainly go to the city's planning committee.

The planning committee is the most important stage that Everton Football Club will face when it comes to making their dream of a beautiful new stadium a reality.

One meeting in Liverpool Town Hall will deliver a decision on whether work can immediately begin on the £500m project - or not.

Because of the sheer scale of the application, we do not expect the Bramley Moore Dock plans to get to the committee stage until late spring/early summer 2020.

The meeting itself will involve a presentation from the applicants - Everton FC - as well as outline guidance given from council planning officers who will make it clear whether they are recommending the approval or rejection of the planning permission.

The meeting will also provide a chance for any objectors to the plans to speak and put their case to the planning committee.

A spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said: “Liverpool City Council notes Everton Football Club’s announcement on the submission of a planning application to develop a new football stadium on Bramley Moore Dock in north Liverpool.

“As the Local Planning Authority this application will be assessed once all relevant documentation is submitted when it will be given the due attention an application of this scale and magnitude merits.

“The city council has been in dialogue with the club and statutory stakeholders in preparation for this submission and will undertake a thorough consultation to ensure the local community and all relevant parties are fully engaged in the planning process.”

Everton don't need to submit a Planning Application to submit a Planning Application. But they have submitted a Planning Application. Once it's submitted.

They're right about one thing; my head is indeed falling off. I believe it's known as "laughing my head off".

Finding the cash might be a little more crucial.

So in effect today is the release of another video?

Final design apparently, with planning permission to be submitted supposedly today, according to the revised timetable.

I'm keen on a night with Jessica Chastain, if he could pull that off as well for me....

This is a bit of a myth mate. If you’re referring to Earl Barrett, then they had a couple of black players before him - Trebilcock and Cliff Marshall.

That said, there was quite a lot of racism at Goodison in the 80s and early 90s, but I think that went for the city. Liverpool has our fair share of it round then too, just not as prevalent after Digger signing.

That echo article is saying some confused shit about the planning application will go in today, but because it's big and it's Christmas you won't get to see it until some time in January or something. There I was thinking you could upload even the biggest documents in minutes these crazy computers we have. Yet they released a new video that is probably of greater data content then the planning application. In other words, they've sent a letter to the council saying "we've something to tell you next month, our carrier pigeon is delivering it page at a time, but the unions are saying we've got to give her Christmas and New year off."

There were strong suggestions that the senior players at Napoli weren't happy with Carlo's management and training so I'm not sure they would be joining an exodus to Everton.

That was just a trick to get Carlo sacked so he could take the Everton job and bring them all with him.

That's the best laugh I've ever had on little x-mas day. When I go do the last shopping among gazzilions of people, I will feel no stress at all. I'll be having a right laugh. People will probably think I've had an early release from the insane asylum. Brilliant utterly brilliant.

If I was an Evertonian I'd be made up like. Understandably so.

The problem is mate that an Evertonian won't be 'made up' He will be a god awful insufferable fucking prick like the relative i spoke to yesterday going on about being the New Man City.

This is the reason why i love their misery and hope it continues. I have nothing against old Carlo at all but i hope he is as successful as Silva and has them calling for Big Sam be Easter.
