I genuinely struggle to understand why they'd go anywhere near Hughes. I don't subscribe to the point of view he's always been crap, yes done some reasonable jobs, but his most recent record is pretty terrible. It would be almost like you were planning to be relegated appointing him. Moyes has to be a better option surely if they're desperate for a British manager who's been through all this before?

They need someone new to come in and gut the place, change their mentality on virtually everything which was allegeldy what Koeman and Walsh were supposed to do. Now Marcel Brands but they just keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. 

 

Mark Hughes and Moyes would make them stand still or go backwards.

If Newcastle ever get sold to a responsible owner they will be competitive and even Leeds have alleges been looked at by the Qatari group who own PSG.
