*Shakes head* Everton again.

They issued a club statement at the weekend saying that they’d made one cash only offer of £55m and Palace had said no, so that was the end of the matter. They did add the usual Bloosmaltz bit about them and Palace remaining good friends.

It was mentioned a lot at the time I knew lads who said there were a lot of non reds there. Loads.

There were loads of tickets for Heysel that went to neutrals. There was lots of violence all day long, some of which had little to do with Liverpool fans, although we were far from innocent, nor were Juventus fans. It did seem there were outside influences on that game as our fans had no real reputation for much more than robbing shops and stuff(still not right of course.) The violence was largely London clubs so it made little sense that Liverpool fans were there to cause trouble.

Bramley Moore is 171 years old, I bet he can't wait to get back in some capacity once it's built.

Sam Allardyce has been accidentally revealed on TV to be one of the contestants on 'Strictly come dancing' I was wondering if the thought of making a fool of himself on national TV every weekend would bother him. But then I remembered he was the bitter manager so this is possibly an upturn in his career.

Nice couple of thinly veiled digs in this Guardian season preview-

Grand designs for Everton’s proposed stadium have been unveiled 30 months after Bramley Moore dock was identified as the club’s preferred site and decades after the search for a new home began. Now it is a matter of securing planning permission, £500m of funding and overcoming Unesco world heritage concerns over a derelict location before construction can start on Farhad Moshiri’s plans for Everton’s future....

Unlike the stadium impressively envisaged by the architect Dan Meis, the manager Marco Silva has foundations to build on.
