Their players and manager jumped ship, European football meant more than their loyalty to the Mighty Blues. But then it was our fault wasn’t it. Clubs have come up through the divisions since 85, lesser clubs have won titles and cups, even shitty Liverpool. They have won what exactly, an FA Cup. In 30 years.

A huge swathe of their fans and barely any of their players were even born in 85 yet the scar still itches. I suggest a liberal spreading of Nivea.

Newcastle, Leeds, Blackburn, Norwich, etc. have all had more post-ban European adventures than Everton.  Maybe if they would stop obsessing about us and focus on themselves, they might be a bit less shit.

Just a thought, like.

They really don't need to worry about leaving Goodison any time soon...

Reality now dawns on us Evertonians that in approximately three years, the ‘Grand Old Lady’ will finally be laid to rest.

Before you know it, the bulldozers will be in - crushing down the Gwladys Street, smashing up the Park End, tearing the Main Stand apart and destroying those famous Archibald Leitch Bullens Road stands.

they should have been in the stadium by now according to chippy tits in May 2016.

Another article in the echo today showing that they are refurbishing all their lounges at Goodison and naming one "The People's Lounge". But this is a "test run" for their new stadium.

Why in God's name would you refurbish the lounges if you were moving out in 3 yrs time .

Just out of interest how long would it take to build the new unicorn stadium?

To be fair their current lounges resemble a church social club. But isn't that the charm of the old lady?.

They just have to secure finance, get Dan Meis to draw something then contribute to the local infrastructure and then start building it. So about 5 years.

Or they could do 5 consultation projects a year, release vague plans and get pretend itks to tweet vague shite, drip feed speculation in the Echo after a Liverpool game every couple of weeks. Then wait for Brexit to happen or blame rising costs and abandon the project.

Then just identify another site like Garston Gasworks and repeat the same shite for another 5 years.

That's the closest that a Barcelona crest has ever been to their pitch. The daft cunts. Imagine never having played European greats like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Kuusysi Lahti etc!

Yeah but they have links to Barcelona because they should have played them in the 1986 European Cup final, Juventus for constantly campaigning for justice for the 39 and Real Madrid for the amazing party in the Brick last year. Not sure about Kuusyi Lahti though.

I thought it touching that when they positioned the holy trinity statue, they had the good grace to have Kendall facing in the direction of the nearest off licence.

How about a Howard Kendall sundial, where it's always whiskey o'clock.
