Aren't they currently still paying the salaries of both Bobby Brownshoes and Red Ronald as they are managing international sides in addition to paying up Gravy Tits and the current incumbent Silva? Shirley paying the wages of 4 at the same time has to be 'first'?

WE DON'T HAVE A GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO BE ABOVE THOSE TEAMS JUST BECAUSE OUR NAME IS EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB AND THEY SHOULD BOW TO US
I agree mate same as Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool dont have a God given right to be above us. But do you really think their owners and fanbase would accept clubs like Everton being 10 points above them in the table for 1-2 seasons whilst they edge towards 11/12th spot?

Watford, West Ham, Burnley and Newcastle won. Bournemouth overtook them with their draw.  Leicester can overtake them if they win later.

They might start panicking if they lose to Cardiff midweek. Huddersfield and Fulham are gone I reckon which leaves a nervy battle for the last relegation spot.

They're not going down, but I'd happily see them get involved in the relegation  fight.
