Just watching last night's MOTD.

Am I missing something here? I thought the point of zonal marking was that you identify the areas where most danger is likely to come from and you make sure that no attackers get close to the ball there.

The Everton approach to zonal marking appears to involve leaving a massive empty space in front of the goal and allowing attackers to run free there.

I didn't think a funeral could be a more depressing occasion, but the thought of a grown man in a football shirt delivering the eulogy proves me wrong.

I wonder what his speech was like? Probably a long, exhaustive list detailing why Liverpool Football Club sent his dad to an early grave.

That Silva is a chancer of the highest order. Remarkable how he’s well regarded by some.

I think he set up Hull pretty bravely when he was there and he got some good results, notably against us and Man United. I think he deserved some goodwill for that even though he couldn't save them.

But what he's done after that should be in a textbook on how to ruin a managerial career.

i reckon that is gone now. i am not sure outside of everton anyone thinks he's doing a good job and the only blues i know who want to keep him is because they just feel they can't keep changing manager, so they might as well back this one as have another new one.

I can't stand Klopp, the gurning, showboating cocktrumpet. 'Decent fella'? Not on my watch...

As for people still talking about hating Pardew - not me. The man scored the goal to get the RS knocked out of the FA cup semi final by Palace, the same team the flat-track bullies had beaten 9-0 at the Pit the same season if I remember correctly, to much smug mirth. He'll always be a hero to me. He could feed my dog into a wood-chipper and I'd only be mildly irritated...

They remember the details of our wins a losses better than I do. I'd go as far as to say 90% of blues are better Reds than me.

Quite, I just had to look up if it was actually Pardew who got the winner, and I watched the frigging game...

Pretty much certain the bit about his 87 year old dad is bollocks. So he had that attitude pre-80’s? Either a liar or his arl fella was a very bitter man.
