*Shakes head* Everton again.

#EFC gate receipts rose £2m (16%) to £16m, mainly due to hosting 5 games in the Europa League, offset by 2 fewer domestic Cup games. Despite the increase, this is nearly £60m less than #LFC. Furthermore, it is also below Southampton, Brighton and Leicester. https://t.co/fxDVBPKc0L

So our main stand earned an extra 12m alone in the season we were out of Europe than the entire total for Goodison when they were in the Europa League.

Next time an Evertonian sneers at the loft extension I'll remind them of this fact.

Such a big club getting less cash than those 3 clubs as well.

Southampton, Brighton and Leicester, they all have about 30 to 32k capacity stadiums which is quite a bit less than the 39.5k at Everton. I suppose it just highlights the need for a new stadium for the bitters with better facilities and some actual corporate areas. Of course they would be better (with debts of £325m) not stretching themselves any further with an unrealistic and expensive stadium they will never fill and never get people to pay extra to attend.

Either that or they're having to pay people to watch that shit at Goodison and that explains the shortfall.

The full thread doesn't make nice reading if you are an Evertonian.

Wow, TV receipts account for 75% of their total revenue (42% for LFC). 77% of revenue goes on player wages (57% for LFC). That Sky bubble ever bursts, they're well fucked.
