Keep an eye on their mental health thread. Remember that poster from last season who was saying that their bad results were causing him to cut himself?

I’ve noticed the same bloke posting/liking some of the more unsavoury comments in their Echo Redshite conspiracy thread over the last few months. It’d be a real shame if football started getting him down again.

A real shame.

This made me laugh

We were in the top 6 with players like Arteta Pienaar Cahill Yakubu Lescott Fellaini peak Baines and Jags. The likes of Gueye Schneiderlin Siggurdson DCL Kenny Tosun Niasse Keane Holgate are nowhere near that standard and so are rightly stranded in mid table.

Yeah top 6 in the days when there was a top 4 and City had not been financially doped and Spurs still just a no mark cup run team

Just read that- while he's right that their current players aren't as good as the earlier list, none of them were exactly world class either. I had a look at these 'glory years', and they were getting in the low-60s points mostly, only getting 70+ during Martinez's first season.

Big Nev started a thing on Twitter the other day, just for poops and giggles, asking Bloos to name their favourite Everton XI since 1990 (excluding current players).

It was quite depressing reading some of the responses: just a long parade of mediocrity.

They seem to have found their Escape Goat - Mason Holgate. Digne getting a free pass on the first two Hammer goals, even though he was well out of position for the first, and committed himself too early for the block on the second.

Pickford getting a fair bit of stick as well. It was only 10 days ago he was saying this

Quote

“For me, I’m going to try not to put myself in that position to make those mistakes.. You don’t want to get too comfortable if you’re winning and start trying to be a No 10 player.”

And then he does this under no pressure at all.

I don't hate the team, I love the team. Been a fan since 2011, so not anywhere near as many years as most of you. I'm at a point again this season where I don't want to watch them anymore. Between the poor footballing and the blatant ref bias against us in every match, it's made the games almost unwatchable for me.

I'm not giving up on the club, but I don't want to be depressed every weekend either. Last season after a while I stopped watching Everton games and only watched La Liga games, but checked up on Everton scores, etc. through the forums. COYB

Classic Stockholm syndrome right there...
