Darren Lewis is a Kopite gobshite who is scared of Usmanov taking over at Everton.

And there was me thinking he was a Spurs fan.

EDIT: Turns out he is a Liverpool fan. He just reported on Spurs for nearly a decade and was pretty fair and even handed.

Still, it's all a RS conspiracy.

That lad constantly tweets about Moshiri and Usmanov being saviours and calls Charlton a nomark club.

But buying into Everton and then having the possibility of funding an expensive new stadium is better business sense that him buying Charlton. Hed be instantly popular as the current owner is hated with a passion.

Charlton are around 60m in debt but if they got back into the Premier League in a couple of years time they would be getting tv money and have a higher profile to attract sponsors. They don't need to do anything to their stadium. He can always sell them on in a few years time as most smaller Premier League clubs probably cost over 100m now.

Said before if you are loaded it makes far more sense buying a smaller club that has the bases for growth. Coventry,Sunderland etc all have the basics and would be far cheaper and easier to move forward than trying to break into the top 4 with a already established premier league club

Lived in Coventry for a bit, when they had the hoodoo on us with Bobby Gould. They hate us.

Charlton have loyal fans too. They all got together to build the ground back up when it was left to shit in the late eighties. Ended up playing at Selhurst Park for a couple of seasons.

At least they have protested against their shit owner in recent seasons. Oh and the Rose of Denmark is a nice pub by their ground.

All true. But best swerve that chippy by the ground unless you've got half an hour to kill.

This reminds me of Robinho signing for Man City when he thought it was Man Utd, because he only understood the word "Manchester".

Usmanov needs a better interpreter and he needs it quick.  Charl - ton.  Ever - ton.

Don't sign anything, Ali, lad, there's been a terrible mistake!
