*Shakes head* Everton again.

I think most of us are agreed that they did pretty well out of the transfer window. At the very least they have reasons to be optimistic about the season that they didn't have 24 hours ago. We think this because we're not fucking mentalists who conjure up a world where Salah is actually shit by discounting all the goals he scored with his left foot.

And they have the neck to call us deluded.

They are fuckin shite and their shower of rejects, never quite good enoughs and overpriced punts aren't threatening the top 6 at all.

They might very well be the best of the rest as the rest is a sea of mediocrity and shite and finish 7th and that is the most they can hope for.

Oh and this bit

Mina was regarded by United as very far off the level that they wanted in a centre-back – and certainly not in the category of Varane. The Colombian’s standout performances at the World Cup finals, including England, marked him out as a specialist player, one for certain opponents whose threat would come in the air, but there were concerns about his all-round game

So he'll be ideal against teams like Stoke and West Brom.

Nice one bloos....

Start throwing he £1 a point offers round lads.  Interested to see if anyone has any takers.

Done with two Mancs a month ago. Even more confident after yesterday's no deals.

The blues I know aren't stupid enough... actually, there's an idiot in work who will probably take me on but I won't see him now until Wednesday. Shame.

What's the Catalan/Spanish for "they must have seen you coming?"

Barcelona should consider a way of formally honouring Everton this summer as the Premier League side have become a valued customer at the Camp Nou, sending a total of 52.6 million euros to the club in exchange for players that Ernesto Valverde was keen to offload.

Having already taken Lucas Digne, Everton signed Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes on Thursday after some complicated negotiations, with the deals being confirmed around the closure of the window in England.

Manchester United had been competing with the Toffees for Mina, but the Old Trafford club pulled out of negotiations that morning.

Repurchase option

Everton and Barcelona discussed fees all day on Thursday and in the end they agreed a price of 30.2 million fixed plus 1.5 in variables for the defender, with the Catalans holding a buy-back option for the future that will rise to 60 million euros.

The signing of Mina by the Camp Nou side can still be seen as a success off the pitch if not quite on it, after the club had only signed him in January for 11.8 million. Six months later and after a good World Cup, they have moved him on for almost three times what they paid for him, despite him never quite performing during his short stay.

Gomes' departure was not quite as profitable. Barcelona wanted 20 million euros for him but nobody was willing to put it on the table.

In the end, the Portuguese will cost Everton 2.2 million for the loan and pay his wages in full, another favour from the club who also splashed 20.2 million on Digne.

Barca are hardly ever stupid when it comes to transfers out.

Everton thought they were getting a top level player in deulofeo but he never made an impact. Now they've made a 20m profit on a player they didn't really want and let a full back go who barely played.

Everton are making out they have had Barca off big time.
