Gone before Christmas.

as ever, all depends on what LFC are doing, If we are rubbish next year he’ll have time, if we carry on progressing that’s when it gets toxic and he’ll lose his job, they won’t mind 12th if we are 14th but will hate being 7th if we are top 4

It’s amazing, that picture. Putting aside his managerial ability, Silva has always looked quite suave and sophisticated. But when you see him with that Everton gear on, he immediately looks older and fatter than in any photograph ever taken of him before.

He just gets them.

He doesn't even look happy. He looks like a hostage being forced to hold up an ISIS flag in a jihadi video.

Road to nowhere. Well the IoM ferry when the ground does not get built.

Plans have been submitted for a major new Liverpool link road aimed at providing access to Everton’s proposed new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock .

It is hoped that the £20m new road will also assist those using the proposed new Isle of Man ferry terminal at the Liverpool Waters development.

The plans will see the Southern Link Road, the new road, extended for almost two kilometres from Leeds Street towards the waterfront and linked up with Bath Street.

Contractor Amey, which submitted the plans on behalf of the council, said the road could ‘be a catalyst for opportunities for the redevelopment of this area’.

Announcing the original plans for the £20m road last January, councillor Malcolm Kennedy , then cabinet member for regeneration, said it would help drive investors to the area

Councillor Kennedy said: “This new link road is a critical piece in our masterplan to unlock the vast potential of North Liverpool and generate thousands of new jobs.

“Along with the other major improvements to the A565, the extension of Leeds Street will ease congestion around the city centre.

“It will also improve the desirability of the area to investors, aiding nearby schemes such as Pall Mall and Liverpool Waters.”

The 180 metre road will cross over the King Edward Industrial Estate and require five buildings within it to be demolished.

As well as the demolition of the buildings, Gibraltar Row will also be cut in half by the new road and the existing roundabout at Bath Street will be upgraded to a signalled junction.

A new cycle route will be put in place along Bath Street, with plans to link it up to existing routes on the Strand and one being constructed on Regent Road.
