*Shakes head* Everton again.

Echo reporting that Lukaku has rejected a new contract offer and sees his future away from Everton.

Unluckeeeeee (insert Lucas .gif here)

All jokes aside, it's the correct move from him. He's just too good for Everton and I don't think he wants to take the chance of signing a deal with a 90m release clause that no one will want to activate.

Everton are a decent team. They have decent players all over the park, and one or two very good ones. Lukaku is very important for them as he scores most of their goals. He's too good for them - funny for us, but bad news for them.

If they have loads of money as they say they do, they can keep him as he's under contract. But in all likelihood they will sell in summer. There will be several CL teams who will want him.

Everton are the seventh best team in the Prem, but to have a chance of cracking the top six - and I don't mean in a fluke year, where others fall apart due to extenuating circumstances - I'm talking about properly cracking the top six and being more of a force higher up the table; then they need to keep hold of what they've got and have further investment in the team.

Lukaku leaving will be to their massive detriment, as anyone who is as good as him will not want to go there. With good management and some nous in the market at their level they might stay where they are, but if Lukaku leaves they will struggle to go any higher, and might even slip a bit.
