I work in St Helens, a predominately rugby town. Two blues have crawled out of the woodwork this week, one even bringing an everton mug in with him.

 

Blue 1 - Eh Dave, what you reckon about that Berkley goal, eh?

Blue 2 - Anooo, great goal.

Me - It's Barkley.

Blue 1 - Listen to him Dave, all bitter like.

The Echo running a story how Everton can push for Champions League qualification. Fucking hell. Gotta love them.

to be fair they are as many pts off it as we were off the top of the league when people talked us up as potential champions...we are in freefall and lead them by 6, mancs are shite and lead them by 5 and they are 7 off arsenal.

 

unlikely but no more unlikely than when we were being touted as league champions

Mancs aren't that bad really. They still instill more traditional fear in the opposition than we do and also curry the favour of the majority of the officials at their games. Out of a topsy-turvy city,a free falling liverpool and them, at the moment, the mancs are favourites for that last champions league place!
