I tried telling some horrible bitter Evertonian that they weren't as rich as they think and Moshiri is not going to empty his bank account to buy them Messi. He said it was all sour grapes and we should really be shitting ourselves about them overtaking us given that we have stood still for years.

 

All of this was based on no evidence that they were getting shitloads of money to spend. Koeman has been there for a bit now and they have only signed a backup keeper on a free transfer.

 

We have at least signed players and had them involved in pre season. They haven't and they still needed to replace a lot of players.
