Alfred Bester, the psi-cop from Babylon 5, hunter of rogue telepaths and general badass, played by Walter Koenig (Chekov from Star Trek). Intelligent, devious, and cold, yet loyal to what he calls 'his telepaths' who he thinks are the future of mankind, similar to Magneto in that sense. Was also torn apart and made even more bitter by his love for a woman who met a bit of a grim fate. Great character.
