I'm watching it now as they are repeating it from the start on "Gold". I have to say, I'm really enjoying it. James Cordon seems to get a lot of abuse on this site (like most people in the public eye) but i think he writes it very well with the big Welsh bird and acts it well too. Some very good characters in this.

Brilliant programme. Nessa, Bryn and Doris are funny as fuck. The lady who played Doris died the other week which is a shame. Dawn and Pete are ace aswell.

It has its moments but it's not as good as people make out, that is till Nessa or Bryn are on the screen.

 

The episode where Bryn is explaining how the internet works still cracks me up.

The reason that I (and I would imagine a lot of others) dislike Corden now is because he seems to be on TV nearly every time you turn it on. Trying to force his shit jokes down our throats.

Bryn is a hilarious character who really makes the show worth watching, otherwise it's a very average programme.

James Corden's character is the most annoying, but it still works. Pam and Mike are ace as are Bryn and Nessa and the elderly neighbour. I think it is excellent overall and way better than most popular series of the same ilk.

Luckily i don't see Corden in anything else, Smithy is a bit irritating, but as part of the programme it works, i can imagine seeing too much of that sort of thing would be irritating. He did co-write it so he must have a bit of talent.

I didn't start disliking James Corden until after Gavin & Stacey.

 

My main issue with him is how he is on every fucking channel, a bit like Mylene Klassless.

Almost 9 years since I wrote this, and it turns out this forum, yet again, was way ahead of the curve, this time recognising just how much of a cunt James Cordon was and is.

I avoided this like the plague. Last week I thought I'd give it a go and I'm half way through series 3. Funny as fuck.

It’s incredibly well written, he was only a young bloke when he wrote it and he’s gone on to make millions. No wonder people hate him. 
 

His Desert Island Discs is very good too, acknowledging he became a twat with the sudden fame.
