She is awesome never realised how talented she was. Her new album is great. Set fire to the rain is one of the best songs i heard in ages. If that song is released it will break records.

Express.co.uk - Home of the Daily and Sunday Express | UK News :: ‘Slaves' refuse to blame their gypsy masters

NINE of the 24 people allegedly kept as slaves at a travellers site are refusing to co-operate with the police, it emerged last night.

The group have discharged themselves from medical treatment after being “rescued” from the site in an operation involving 200 officers.

The youngest victim is just 17 years old and he has been reunited with his family. Two of the nine to have left are Romanian while the others are British.

Last night the remaining 15, including eight Britons, were still being treated and interviewed by officers.

Police believe the gypsy gangmasters had overseen an international operation worth millions of pounds where vulnerable people including the suicidal were targeted.

Last night, four men were charged with slavery offences while two others are being hunted. A heavily-pregnant woman who was also detained was yesterday released on bail.

The men, all from the same family of travellers, were charged with conspiracy to hold a person in servitude and requiring them to perform forced labour.

Tommy Connors, 30, Patrick Connors, 19, James “Big Jim” Connors, 34, and James “Jimmy” Connors, 23, are due to appear at Luton Magistrates Court today.

Yesterday, horrific details emerged of how vulnerable down-and-outs were allegedly lured into the camp.

Victims were held against their will for up to 15 years in filthy, cramped conditions in horse boxes, dog kennels, caravans and sheds at the Green Acres travellers’ camp in Leighton Buzzard, Beds.

The “slaves” were freed after 200 police officers, some armed, stormed the site in a dawn raid on Sunday following a five-month covert operation after a tip-off from captives who had escaped. The victims were targeted at soup kitchens, homeless centres and benefits offices.

One was said to have been lured to the site after being found on the edge of a bridge where he was preparing to jump in an apparent suicide bid.

They were told they would be cared for, given board and lodgings and earn up to £80 a day. But on arrival their heads were shaved and they were allegedly forced to perform gruelling labouring jobs for no payment.

They were stripped of their possessions, starved and barely clothed.

They worked 12-hour shifts from 7am, paving driveways and clearing rubble in forced labour gangs deemed cheaper than hiring machinery

The “slaves” were taken to a medical centre for treatment. The remaining 15 – the oldest of whom is 57 – were so badly malnourished they are having to be weaned back onto normal food. Among them are eight Britons, three Poles, one Latvian and a man from Lithuania.

Last night Immigration Minister Damien Green told of his “shock” at the discovery. He said that the new new National Crime Agency will provide a “much more effective way of combating this vile crime”.

He won't be coming back un-fucked up, un-bummed or un-clueless, that's fo sho.

Shouty fat pointless shite for the masses. The masses are welcome to keep it.

One thing Adele isn't, and that is shouty.

Sometimes Lurtzy you have got to look past the mainstream in your face every 5 minutes campaign and see the talent that is there.

She is no musical genius but the girl can sing.
