My take on the sending off was that Gerrard attempted one of those tackles where you clobber ball then man, but missed the ball so he saw red.

If he wanted to teach other teammates not to shirk out of tackles, he should have TOLD them, not tried a 'big' tackle that most of them wouldn't even have seen. It really doesnt help when you get players rolling around like they have just dropped a fucking angle grinder on their leg.Thirty years ago that tackle would not have even got a yellow card never mind a red.Tommy Smith would have had a quarter of the appearances he had for Liverpool if he had played in this era.

Yep. Unless we appeal it but given the fact the FA bum off Webb, Fergie and hate undermining there own referees and the fact that the FA are now trying to punish Babel for his comments about Webb, i would honestly say its not worth it.
