Petition to reinstate Rafael Benitez as LFC Manager

Recommended Posts

People who don't want him back- sane.

People who want him back- deluded.

Well I don't think that is right.

I personally don't want him back, but who am I to tell other Liverpool fans what to think?

They are entitled to want him back, even if I or others disagree.

It is just like Aldridge is entitled to his opinion without getting abused for saying what he thinks.

However what I can't understand is that some people have changed their opinions since and some who wanted him gone, now want him back. That seems odd to me, given his reputation should not be better than when he left after the job he has done at Inter.

That was my point though mate, I don't think or have I read much of those that have changed their mind on him. People who wanted a change, don't want him back and those that didn't want a change would consider him coming back.

In fact, I'd say there is far more that never wanted him sacked that don't want him back than the reverse of that.

Humiliating. I know mancs and blues who laugh at us, well yous, for wanting Rafa back. They want us to appoint him, does that not tell you something.

Should it?

These are the same fans that turned on Rooney only to love him again and was actually well ahead, in general terms, in giving Lucas a bit of praise.

Also the set of fans that argue religiously that Arteta is better than Alonso, for example.

What exactly should their opinion tell us?

Is that twitter really Aldridge? I looked at it about a month ago and it appeared like it was being used by a 9 year old.

What was said to him anyway?

It just seems that Rafa has more support now than he did when he was sacked, certainly on here.

Now why is that, if people haven't changed their opinion?

Some people think they were wrong then?

Like you admit being wrong about Hodgson.

New posters? Less vocal opposing posters because they know the unlikelihood of him returning?

Yes maybe.

I'm not sure. Just seems odd to me for the polls to change so much.

End all Liverpool Football Club petitions

This petition requests the petitioners to stop petitioning Liverpool Football Club with petitions. Petitions about the manager, petitions about Rafael Benitez, whatever. If you want everybody to just stop with the petitions already, show your support by signing my petition.

Thank you.

I can't remember the poll results from last season.

Did most want him gone?

On here they did. It was about 70% wanting him gone. Now it is around 60% wanting him back.

That is one hell of a swing.

On RAWK the stats will be far more positive towards Rafa though.

How? Benitez had his chance here, just because Hodgson isn't the right man doesn't mean we have to go back to our previous manager.

Benitez isn't the only manager in football believe it or not.

Read the post, some people are only wanting him back because Hodgson is shite, it doesn't mean he should come back.

Not saying it ain't true, but if it is that is a decent swing.

Then again it was often said last season that anyone could do better with our squad of players. Perhaps some who felt that it might be the best to change now think that they got that bit wrong.

That's the bad thing with these polls, it isn't exactly clear how people are thinking. I mean the poll on here the other day said would you have Rafa back as opposed to do you want Rafa back. I think it'd be less than 60% if the question was the other way around.

I thought most wanted him to stay on all forums but here it was a smaller majority.

Nah not on here.

Especially towards the end of his time.

If I can be arsed, I'll do a search to find out the exact numbers, as it might be interesting to compare the figures between now and then.

That is why some of these polls shouldn't be private, as we could ask the members who have changed their opinions, why they have done that?!

I think some people have already explained it in a round about way, some thought Hodgson would be a good appointment to start off with and have later admitted they were wrong. I'd guess some of those people would now rather have Rafa than have Hodgson.

But that's what I don't get.

Just because Hodgson is doing a poor job, doesn't mean Rafa wasn't wrongly sacked - in my opinion.

It just means that Hodgson was the wrong appointment.
