Teenage daughters.

Recommended Posts

The under 16 ones. And don't corrupt my ranting thread with porn!

They should be locked up, some nut ward somewhere where they can't inflict abuse on their parents or siblings. It's like i'm living with a woman who's on the blob permanently. It's excruciatingly painful.

Seriously, are they all such twats or has my daughters head just twisted around and she's become the daughter of satan?

I'm off to town for a breakfast and a massive hot chocolate with marshmallows as a reward for putting up with such shit.

My daughter is 14 and she is pretty damn good. The odd hissy fit, but only once every couple of weeks. Does her homework without being asked, is nice to her brothers (despite them being a pair of twats) and is generally pretty good to have around. I seem to have got a strange one.

Look on the bright side, they're getting closer and closer to moving out from home.

MiniMeat the elder is getting the teen attitude thing now. She's 12 and currentlt thinks the world shines out of her arse.

Funnily enough, we had the whole "Father Christmas. Real or not?" chat in the car the other day. Mini the younger was winding her up with the whole "Pfft. It's just him (pointing to me) in a comedy beard". I tried explaining the quantum nature of Father Christmas at first, but that went right over their heads so I just settled for "He lives in Heaven with Jesus and Superman".

Shit like that makes kids worth it.

Mine's 13 going on 21.

She doesn't live with me but has this aura of 'Im here, everyone stop what they are doing because I am in the room'.

Feels that she deserves an explanation when you deny her something she asks for.

She also believes she needs a mobile phone that costs more than £100.

She text me last night with 'Hey' , I thought to myself 'Right, what does she want?'

She only tends to instigate contact when she wants something.

Anyway im like hello hows you ? how was school ? you been good ? etc etc

Then, 'Dad :) , Ive got a PE Training Course all next week and Ive only got 2 pairs of Trackie bottoms so would you be able to get me another pair and Mum will also buy me a pair please ?

Er..............No. Dont be ridiculous.

And of course I feel like a cunt now because I said No, but in my view nobody needs 4 pairs of tracksuit bottoms for a one off Training Course thingy that lasts 4 and a half days. Surely 2 pairs is enough ?

It depends. If all her mates show up with 4 pairs and shes only got two! Do you want your kid to become 'Two tracksuit girl' it could have a negative effect on her whole school life.

It will all be down to her dad, do you want that? hey, do you?

On the other hand if you give in and buy them then your a walk over and then you will have no spare cash for the rest of your life as you will always cave in.

Tough one mate.

I dont know mate. Im a believer of getting her anything she needs, but not anything she wants. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Its coming up to xmas also and I get this every year just before xmas. Last year it was Trainers so I said Xmas is around the corner wait and see, this incidentally was after her mum told her to ask me for new trainers. I said to her Mum i'll get her some for xmas, she was like 'Cool thanks'

Xmas comes , what does her mother buy her ? Fucking Trainers.

What was the point I asked. Oh she needs two pairs of trainers , one for play, one for Nice.

Fuck off.

Fuck that. Any future kids of mine will not be getting spoiled. I've seen far too much of that. I'd rather them taking a bit of teasing for having 'scuffed' trainers instead of shiny new ones.

The consumerism is fucking ridiculous in western society.

Spot on.

I've 2 girls, the eldest was spoilt rotten as a kid (mainly by her grandparents but her Mum was a pushover too) and even now at 20 she still wants everything and appreciates nothing.

We vowed not to let that happen to the youngest and the difference is remarkable. She's only 12 but she's always understood that no means no and I'm confident it won't change in her teens.

I know I was a son rather then a daughter but,Im 20 now and i look back with embarrasment at some of the shit I went on with when I was about 15 or 16. I would like to go back and jab myself in the face for it.

Moral of the story is we do eventually grow up.

Got a 19 year old and she spends money like its going out of fashion.

She's at uni but spends more time at home than uni but at least me and the missus can be close if problems occur.

She is a mummy's girl because her mum always gives her spare money but what she doesnt realise is that its usually came from my pocket first!

She became a nightmare at about 12/13 but has calmed down a bit now.

I've got three daughters. This one, the next one down is 11, then a soon to be 8 year old. I'm thinking of leaving home, i just need a semi responsible adult to move in. Any offers?

To be fair she's a piece of piss compared to my peers when i was her age, she never gets drunk, doesn't smoke, never had the coppers at my door, not come home pregnant or even has a boyfriend. The thing is she'd have to leave the house to do any of those, she doesn't get her arse off the PC - then kicks off when someone wants to use it. Or they get under her massive size 10 feet, or absolutely anything that may cause her to interact with them results in her having a go.

Email from Little Lurtz 3 days ago:

Dad, can you send me the password to Sky Anytime? I've lost it.

Reply from me:

Here you go son. How's things? Are you feeling better after your bout of tonsilitis? Any news on the ex girlfriend, is she still talking to you? Drop me a line and let me know how you are,

Dad.

Reply from Little Lurtz:

No reply. Fuck all.

Still, I bet he'll be straight back to me come the 12th of December and I haven't upgraded his contract phone to an android. Little bastards.
