Newcastle United away match thread

Have spotted at least twice (once with N'gog on the ball and once with Kuyt.) that he could've had a run through if he'd got decent service from either, but they didn't even pass to him. He won't look good that often if he doesn't get the service.

They've just shown a little montage of Torres's efforts in that half on ESPN. Roughly ten occasions when good balls were played top him, and easy ones to take under control but his touch has been poor every time. So let's not pretend that its all about the lack of service when it comes to Torres not performing. He's been absolute muck, and not for the first time.

Why did Roy even have to change from the team that beat Villa. For reasons not clear to me Torres is not showing enough commitment on the pitch. So until he appears interested to play, keep on with Babel. Bring him on in the second half. And Pacheko for Kuyt.

Are you seriously suggesting Torres could be dropped in favour of Babel?

Pacheco is not even on the bench, so how can he bring him on?

The sad reality is that we aren't good enough.

Newcastle are poor and are there for the taking but so are we.

We have 1 or 2 world class players but have too many mediocre players that probably wouldn't get in most other premiership sides.

We also have a manager who is a dinosaur and extremely negative away from home.

Spot on. He has been shocking today, got a touch like a kerb.

Torres has never been good with his back to goal though.

Correct, i can not see for the life of me why the fuck we are prolonging the agony and getting rid of him . Right fucking now .

He will never be a success for us , never fucking ever .

As a club we are in a position where our main men needs to stand up and be counted, and still Torres and Kuyt were probably the two worst players on the field in the 1st half.

Torres really worries me as he just dont seem to give a shit. Constantly withdrawing from challenges. Seems like his heart isnt here anymore and he wants off.

Kuyt should NEVER be played in midfield in a 4-4-2. He has not once even played a decnt match in that position. He is useless there.

Still, this is a match who is here to be won, but we need to be brave and go for it. Sadly, brave and Hogdson is never going to happen.
