Van Gaal is very innovative with his formations- tactically astute. Very aggressive in the way he sets up his team and a great motivator. It is always about his team versus the rest of the world. He will get his own management team (a big one) to take care about every aspect of the game. He has a history of falling out with the management though. Bayern are 5th this season 14 points behind the leaders Dortmund (who have been pretty exceptional this season with the likes of Shinji Kagawa, Barrios, Subotic and Nuri Sahin performing very well). Klopp has transformed Dortmund to a very good side this year (though they got knocked out of the Europa league). While Dortmund are high flying and 14 points ahead, it is still possible for Bayern to finish second atleast as the 2nd placed team is just 4 points ahead of them.

Now I'm off to check the Oxford English dictionary, is that based on my colour or country of birth?

It's based on your aversion to racists.

I think Solbakken may be a dark horse. Not sure I'd want him here just yet, for the same reasons as with Coyle, but he does seem to have a few qualities I like in a manager. He's a little eccentric, but what I like most about him is that he's fearless.

I'm still tipping towards a more household name though.

Jan Molby said that Louis Van Gaal "would walk to Anfield to take the Liverpool job".

and he said that since Van Gaal gotten his current Bayern squad together? I'm not saying Van Gaal wouldn't want to manage us, or that he wouldn't be a good appointment. I just don't think he'd walk from his current project.

Now might be the time for Van Gaal to walk from Bayern, given that they are on the break now and have two weeks to find the replacement ahead of their next match.

I would like Solbakken as well... Has a kinda fun eccentricity and fearlessness that permeates his team. Played some good footy twice vs Barca in the Champs League this season as well.

His season is over now isn't it?
