keep an eye out on amazon for re-furbs, they come up now and then in your price desire, brilliant mate, cant go wrong.

 

out of the two you have suggested though, i would go for the samsung, mostly because of my past exp with HP, i think they are un-reliable pieces of shite.

I've got a Samsung R510 and i've just had to have the screen wire replaced because it kept flickering and then going off. Apparently, certain Samsung models do have issues with the screens. Only cost £30 to sort it though.

 

I've had the laptop for about 3 years though and in terms of performance, it's easily the best i've ever had.

 

It's fast as fuck even now.
