To Good To Go Down??

No it isn't. But no team in the top half would have Lucas, Maxi, Ngog or Babel in a squad for a Premier league game. That is what we have in the team and on the bench.

Sorry but that's bollocks. Why are you so often so wrong mate, I really don't get how you can carry on with this crap. 8th? Are you for real?

Seriously, Maxi, Lucas, Babel could all get in a top 10 team, as could Ngog. If Roy judges they aren't ever going to be good enough then we have plenty of promising youngsters that he could put out and blame his results on but he isn't is he?

It's not complete rubbish though, is it? How many of those players - and many more - would get into, say, the Everton or Sunderland sides, let alone a 'top four' team? EVERY club has one or two weak links, whom - as you say in your response - can be carried through a season. Unfortunately we have half a starting XI of them, and that's the problem.

How many players of Gerrard, Torres, Reina, Carragher, Joe Cole, Meireles and, when fit, Kuyt and Johnson, would get into those teams? All of them.

Were you delighted with our 7th place finish last year, featuring all of the players that you name as not good enough to get into Sunderland’s team? If not, do have a little sit down and think about why not. Then cease moving the goalposts.

Even with Hodgson in charge we're too good to go down. We have too many players capable of individual brilliance that, even despite Hodgson, we will get enough points.

The point is that just surviving relegation or even finishing in the top half is not good enough either.

We sacked a guy for finishing outside of the top 4 with the squad he had. His replacement has to do better otherwise I want him gone also. Perhaps if we had a manager with a better track record then I'd be prepared to cut him some more slack as there would be the possibility that things could rapidly improve in the future.

I simply do not see that with Hodgson.
