The Maze Grill is amazing for steak and Claridges is top notch.

Those Maze Grill steaks are fucking wonderful though. Had a Wagyu Sirloin and it was like a sex party in my mouth and to make it even better, I didn't pay for it. They are fucking stupidly expensive and the price depends on what the market price was that day.

I know! they started getting their curry sauce from the cash & carry rather than making it from scratch like they used to.

It wasn't from the cash and carry, mate, it's the 6p Asda smartprice stuff. Got it highly recommended from some fella in Warrington apparently.

Ate at Benares yesterday. Superb restaurant in Berkeley Square owned by Atul Kochhar. Expensive of course, but well worth it.

Starter:

Jal Tarang - spice crusted scallops with a grape and ginger dressing

Main:

Hiran Ki Boti - roasted roe deer fillet, venison biryani and stuffed courgette

Dessert:

Bitter chocolate molleaux with raspberry compote and amaretto ice cream

The best part was that I didn't have to pay for the meal. Bonus!
