Well, he is allowed to move around, you know.

Precisely. He can still get forward, but we need him where he is most involved and most effective. The way we've been playing so far under Roy he hasn't seen anywhere near enough of the ball. Cole, and maybe even Meireles, have enough ability to play behind Torres. I fear for us in the midfield battle without Gerrard in there.

This games against United used to be the highlight of the season before. Unfortunately I have no excitement anymore, thanks to Hicks and Gillett. I think this match is totally uninportant compared to whats going on behind the scenes. We will probobly playing championship soccer in one year or two if Hicks can continue his ownership. Therefor BOYCOTT!!

Mainly with this, but would differ slightly by saying that it does mean something, but if we don't get that heartless bastard Hicks away from the club, this 'will be' the last we see of this team. So even a victory will be tinged with sadness. I just don't see how we can get him out of the club though unless the American fans go at him like they did Cohen, and do it war of attrition style. And they'd need to do it quickly.

Can't understand why Roy is favouring Skrtel over Agger right now. To be fair, Skrtel could very well play a blinder today, but between his shirt-pulling and Johnson's sudden dip in form I do worry about our ability to keep them out today. Especially with Berbatov in such good form.

This is the first time this season that we've got a front four capable of smoothly switching roles in almost any way. Something we seemed to aspire to in pre-season. I'm looking forwards to seeing Torres pull wide and then Cole to drop into the space, laying off Stevie...

Don't mind the look of the team posted earlier & think it looks near to our best available combo ( I personally would have Agger over Skrtel ).

One thing that gives me a bit of optimism is that Ferguson always over-respects us in these games and uses far more cautious tactics than usual, which will hopefully allow us to settle into the game and find our pattern.

Don't see many goals & wouldn't be surprised to see a 0-0 or 1-1.
