I saw him in a couple of games for Valencia and he was awesome. He was pacy, stretching defences, using the channels intelligently, linking up well. Where did it all go wrong?

 

He doesn't give a fuck. He got what he wanted out of the game a long, long time ago.

 

He can shine on some occasions where he is suddenly arsed for some reason. That's obviously enough to keep people convinced he is a good player.

Not sure I'd want to spend 20m + on any player. Too big a risk these days. I'd rather get someone in for 10 or less and mould them to play in our style. Sometimes with the finished article, they don't quite fit very well.
