Email - Enter Network Password?

I have a laptop, and today when I went into my email account, a box popped up with the above.

I have never used a password for my e-mail, and when I press cancel or OK, nothing happens & I can't access any new emails.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Please note, I am not at all technically minded, so please keep it simple!

Thanks, Lisa

I've never used Outlook myself, so can't give you a definitive resolution to your problem, but I've have had a quick gander on t'interweb.

After having a browse on Google, I found that this is quite common place for Outlook.

From what I've read, it should just be the password you used when you created the mailbox in the first place. For some reason Outlook loses track of you password, usually after an anti virus update or a service pack installation.

You can get Outlook to save your password again through the application itself, once you've figured it out or remembered it, or you can recreate your account on Outlook again, and thusly have the option to create a new password.

I don't know how, but my e-mail is now working and the problem has sorted itself out. I never entered the password, as I can't remember ever using one. Fingers crossed, it won't happen again. Weird, how it didn't work for 2 days, and now it seems fine.
