I have no problem admitting that the human cost is worth it to Israel to destroy the capability of Hamas to lob rockets anytime they want and tunnel their way into Israel to cause maximum civilian casulaties , none at all.

Fair play to your honesty. If my govt were telling me that the targets of their missiles were shielded by children but they were bombing them anyway, I would have problems with that. Particularly if the lethality rate of those targets were just 0.2%.

But each to their own morality

I sleep very well , knowing at least one country is doing it's best to defeat terrorists

I bet you do.

It's funny how all you Zionists have to do is label a group kept in an open air concentration camp and denied the right to clean water and medicines as 'Terrorists' to justify bombing the shit out of hospitals, Schools and U.N shelters.

How long before you label me a terrorist for speaking out against the mass genocide the psycho Zionists crazies are doing in Palestine?

I think we all know who the real terrorists are!

So if you disagree with what Israel are doing, you're an anti-Semite?

What a load of shite. I also disagree with what Anerica and Britain did in Iraq. Does that make me anti-British/American. No it doesn't, you dickhead.

I suppose you're anti-Muslim.

At least this is an honest view.

Where you are wrong is that you will never destroy the will of people by killing thousands of them, the reverse is true. Israelis of all people should understand that.

What Israel is doing is creating the next generation of suicide bombers and committed anti-_Israelis at an alarming rate. Israel is guaranteeing hatred and enmity for years to come.

Sadly, Israel does not want peace. There is no peace dividend whilst the US and EU bankrolls the war machine. Furthermore, few amongst the Arabs save the religious fanatics deny Israel's right to exist, just as Israel has only a few who take pleasure in killing children. But Israel knows that serious talks would result in Hams, and others, recognising Israel in return for the return of the illegal land grabs which Israel has specialised in for years. So peace does not suit.

I feel sorry for ordinary Jews who are rightly seeing support for their State disappearing, which in the long term is hugely damaging. Defending the indefensible, by arguing that Gaza should be quite happy to be a virtual prison camp under a state of siege that will not be attacked so long as they don't make a fuss is sick.

Good post in full.

History has a way of repeating itself and unfortunately those innocent Jews across the world, those that are human, have conscience and abhor what the Israeli government are doing, are going to feel the impact of this. There have already been attacks on the Jewish community in Europe, synagogues attacked etc. As long as Israel keeps up its campaign of genocide then Jews across the world will suffer.

Powerful Jews across the world that oppose what is happening in Gaza need to use their influence to stop this slaughter. Otherwise the rise of right wing parties in Europe and elsewhere might start looking towards the Jews again (if they haven't already) and we all know how that turned out.

What numbers?

I would look at the stats about the age and gender of the people killed, compare it to the same stats of the whole population , all this is readily available.  Then draw my conclusions.  Anyway, I'll stay out of this, people disregard totally the role different Arab countries and Iran play in this conflict.  I cannot be bothered with the generic "you're anti-semite" "no you're anti-muslim" stuff.  It goes nowhere.

What about the arabs and muslims visceral hatred of the Jews ? Acceptable is it ?

No, you fucking moron. People don't feel strongly about this because of their feelings about Jews or Arabs, people feel strongly because children are being maimed, dismembered and killed, because people are being oppressed, because what's happening is just simply fucking wrong!

That's not strictly true http://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/us/new-york-jews-take-part-in-protest-against-gaza-bloodshed-1.1884855

Also, the media in ISrael are playing a huge part in the feelings on Israeli Jews.

The first part is fucking scary. That poll I linked to had 97% of Israeli Jews supporting their government's actions. Its a huge part of the reason Netanyuhu wants anything but peace. Peace doesn't get him re-elected. I think an Israeli Jew is more likely to have these appalling Nazi like views because they'll have either gone through their racist propaganda filled education system, or they'll have moved to Israel, fully aware of the type of regime they are justifying by doing so.

As for Jews in other parts of the world, I think it's unfair to say they haven't been objecting. Some have, some haven't. You also have to consider the difficulty of being a Jew speaking out from within a Jewish community. In much the same way that it would incredibly difficult, and hard to imagine without being in that position, for a Muslim to do so about various governments/stances/attitudes, etc.

Look at, for e.g, the shit Norman Finklestein gets. He gets labelled a "self hating Jew", "anti-Semitic", and as someone that is contributing towards Islamic fundamentalism. The fact that his entire family were in concentration camps, and that he has learnt from the experiences of his parents, and build compassion rather than hatred (or the constant use of emotional blackmail), and that it is actually Israel's actions in the Middle East that are ramping up Muslim extremism, seem entirely lost on his critics.

The anti simitic thing is total bollocks, it's bordering on 'is it cos I was black'.

The fact it's even got its own special word rather than just 'racism' is bollocks too, it probably had a meaning decades and centuries ago when Jews were spread all over the world and often demonized, but now it's often just something to throw at people who disagree with what Israel has done.

I've genuinely, hand on heart, never met anyone who had anything at all to say about Jewish people. Arabs? Yes, all the time, black people? Yes, you still hear that, but anti Jewish sentiment is probably the least likely you'll ever hear in a pub or a workplace. It's all a bit, well,1800s.

In fact this country has done a hell of a lot for Jewish people, especially with things like Kindertransport, where thousands of Jewish children were brought here to safety from Nazi Germany and Austria, rehoused and rehomed.
