Would have been nice to see Kelly have a chance in that position, as it is an area which is up for grabs in the squad and he has the potential to grab it.

Just noticed Jack Robinson is on the bench. He wasn't in the original travelling party was he? Must have been called up to replace Insua. Actually, come to think of it, he was watching the u18s at the weekend so he definitely wasn't in the original squad. I thought I heard Steve Hunter say on commentary that he had a slight injury, which was why he wasn't playing for the 18s.

 

Big chance for him to impress Hodgson in the next few days then.

I like the look of that formation. I presume it will involve Amoo and Eccleston on the wings, Spearing Aquilani and Lucas in some combination in CM and NGog up top.

 

Think it's a massive year for Spearing and I believe the lad will come good if we give him a chance. Also pleased we're playing a 4-5-1 rather than 4-4-2. Looking forward to the match now.
