Would love for him to turn Fiorentina down, and then fuck off on a free transfer next season.....Shove that up your arsehole Purslow.

Don't Fiorentina have two pretty highly rated left backs in Vargas and Pasquale anyway? Fair enough, Vargas might go and is probably more of a left winger, but he'd be behind Pasqual anyway.

Insua move to Italy falls though

Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua's move to Serie A side Fiorentina has fallen through, the Italian club's sporting director has confirmed.

Pantaleo Corvino said they had been unable to agree terms with the Argentine who came to Anfield in January 2007 from Boca Juniors.

The two clubs had agreed a fee last month but discussions with the 21-year-old have proved fruitless.

"Insua is not coming. He had high economic demands," said Corvino.

"I was in talks with the sporting director at Liverpool, who is our guest here, until two this morning.

"At the end we decided to give up on Insua, who will remain in England.

"The player would have entered into Fiorentina's technical and financial plans, but we couldn't reach an agreement with the player. Today, the deal can be considered finished."

Insua has played 62 games during his time at Anfield, scoring once.
