If the rumours of Gerrard to Madrid for a sum in the region of £30m are true, would this be a bad thing if, could be a big if though, the new manager got the vast majority of this fee to re-invest in the squad?

 

To pose a question, if we could sell Gerrard and get in Ozil as his replacement for about the same price, would you be happy with such a deal?

He had a good first 6 months at Arsenal, this season he's been a disruption and he's been wank half the time. I wouldn't have him.

Opinions mate, there was a lot of hype about him in the 02 World Cup, same as Diao. I thought both looked good, particularly Diouf against France.

Anyone who has said we should not class him as a great player based on a good world cup obviously does not watch the German league, he was class last season and his form has carried on.

Ozil has been impressing in Germany all season. I would love to have him here. At 21 it would be a good long term solution to the inevitable loss of Gerrard through transfer request or retirement.
