I did enjoy his sly remark about Purslow being in charge though.

 

Yeah, unbelievable that he was effectively sacked through the press whilst he was on holiday. The idea that it was up on the Mirror/Times websites at the same time as he found out about it is a slamming indictment of the way the club's currently being run. This is a manager who won us the Champions League, the idea of him having to phone up the office after news has already broken to ask what's going told and to be informed that he is, in fact, being fired, beggars belief.

Another important phrase he clearly wanted to get out was to the effect - I fought from the beginning until the end.

 

He won every fair fight. Hopefully he will come back and take care of the hyenas in the press and their mealy-mouthed informers at the club and their sycophantic chorus on here.

He didn't say he was "sacked". He wasn't.

 

Rafa was referring to the decision by Purslow to refuse to give any written guarantees about transfer funds and the sale or non-sale of key players. Rafa had been demanding these in his meetings with Broughton. He referred to it when he said that Torres and Gerrard would not be sold despite what "senior sources" might say. Faced with Rafa's demands Purslow preferred to declare that the situation between the board (read "owners") and Rafa was unworkable and under instructions from the owners the board offered Rafa compensation for what was clearly the board's breach of Rafa's contract.

 

Rafa was prepared to fight but faced with the complete collapse of any semblance of independence from the board - including from Broughton - Rafa decided take one of the several jobs he was being offered.

What exactly is it that you need Benitez to say about the Leeches?

 

What is it you expect?

 

Why does'nt he come out and say what happened in the last 2 summers with the transfer funds, Alonso keane money etc. He has on several times hinted about "things changing2 as he was touting himself to Juventus, so why be so cryptic, tell us what changed Rafa, or was the fact you buddied up to Hicks to get rid of Parry and get your contract really all that changed. I'd respect him alot more if he stopped with all the hints and spoke about what happened, if he was fucked over it might help convert some of the fans that still think were doing great with the yanks.

He wont and has'nt said anything since march of last year because of a gagging order he agreed to.

In long, to explain how bad the situation is, and what he had to go through.

 

He didn't even have to dedicate the show to it, but a 5 minute fucking statement would have been nice.

 

Massively dissapointed, I'm glad you enjoyed you're time here, and I'm very humbled at how your family got involved in the City and your clear affection for it but fucking hell lad.
