Who decides value especially in today's market. Value is whoever improves the team. You can pay 10 million for a player because you aren't prepared to pay 20 for the other yet the 20 million pound player could offer much more to the team, are FSG too guilty of looking for the value in pounds over the value to the football team. We will unearth gems for good fees but every deal can't be that ,the money we've saved buying those gems should go towards players we know already to instant improvements to the side. I'm tired of fans being labelled greedy or selfish because they want the club to be ambitious and as much as many don't like it that does include spending.

Recouping the money via other transfers doesn't erase the fact that the money was wasted in the first place, and that the squad was therefore depleted via wasted finances & having at least 2 players who weren't deemed to be up to it.

Balancing the negatives out with the more recent positives doesn't mean the negatives didn't happen at all. It cost us, in financial terms & in squad quality/progression. And I'm not interested in pointing fingers at who was responsible for what. FSG got their fingers burned and have learned their lesson. If you believe the squad is going to shite or will be allowed to go to shite, that's your opinion. Do you think that Sturridge and Coutinho are signs of our scouting going to pot ?

Would you prefer to have Cancer & Aids & all the wonderful promises back ?
