US shows recommendations

I've seen Six Feet Under great show. I watch Community and Entourage I liked them, House doesn't interest me, Rescue Me maybe but I'm not a big Leary fan.

 

The Shield is one I hear about a lot, I watched about 20 minutes of it one day and thought it looked like just another cop show so I never bothered with it but I didn't really see enough to form a proper opinion.

I think I'll give it another go because I do hear a lot of good things about it.

Other than The Wire, Sopranos and Six Feet, and maybe Breaking Bad it's better than anything else you've listed, in my opinion.

Enjoying 'Louie' so far. Kind of a bit like Curb Your Enthusiasm with a bit of Seinfeld thrown in i suppose.

 

'True Blood' is still good even if Anna Pacquin is the most god awful actress on TV these days.

 

Watched 'Lonesome Dove' for the first time there recently, four part Western miniseries from the 80's. Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall at their bad ass cool as fuck best. Highly recommended.

 

'Archer'. Cartoon comedy, bout a spy, very adult and very funny.

Just finished Season 4 of The Sopranos.

 

Watched a lot of Entourage when I was in Canada. It's brilliant. I will be getting the first six seasons off a mate at the weekend and will watch them in between watching the last two series of The Sopranos.

 

After that, I will move onto The wire and 24.

I agree that Entourage goes downhill. But not so much because of camoes. The thing that got me was what a whiny little bitch E is. I fuckin hate that character and keep hoping he gets killed somehow.

 

Ari Gold makes the show worth watching all on his own. Then Drama.

Breaking Bad.

 

Opening scene is a mobile home speeding through the desert, you can hear sirens in the background.

Inside are two men with gas masks on, one losing control of his driving the other slumped unconscious. Scene cuts to the back of the RV, there's two corpses sliding around inside just as the vehicle careers off road and crashes.

 

The driver's completely naked as he scrabbles to get out the truck and the sirens get increasingly louder. He grabs a video camera and a handgun off the dashboard and starts talking into the camera saying, "This is NOT a confession. I did nothing,

nothing wrong. I love my family, I'm sorry. I did it for them."

 

He steps away from the camera, holds the handgun up in his shaking hands as the sirens get louder and louder..

 

Then the opening credits roll.

 

It's one of the best opening scenes that I can remember. And the whole series lives up to that standard n'all.

 

I cant recommend this series enough,absolutely brilliant!

And Dexter too.

 

For a bit of fun Burn Notice is not too bad.

What has one got to do with the other? Dexter is probably the best show going at the moment whilst Sons is.....okay i guess, never in the same class as a show like Dexter though.
