Did anybody else notice how quick he got up when Mascherano took him down in the second half? Shook Mascherano's hand too, thus avoiding any further action from the ref and the possibility of him being ruled out of the final.

It triggered my memory - I remember he did the exact same thing at Anfield the time he got two goals with United to a player of ours who was already on a yellow that day.

Class act and a class player.

Good player...The think he has done with Mach should be done by every player in the world if there is not serious injury.

I´m sick of primadonas who act like beeing shot by 3-4 bullets after somekind of soft touch. They are hard trained sportsman, they should take some level of pain, not acting like children.

Bit pathetic him being booed when taken offf just for him being a manc.

Great player and great professional.

Booing Mancs is a reflex motion. Especially that cunt, he couldn't contain himself with that celebration. If he had been less of a prick you might have a point.

Still no matter how bad a Manc he is it doesn't take away the fact he had one chance all night and was clinical enough to knock us out.

Very good finisher

Bit of a Lurker but thought this deserved mention.

Stayed at the Marriott in town before the Atletico friendly pre season and Atletico were there the night before the match. A friend was also there and his young lad and himself were getting the lift up to their room wearing their Liverpool gear. Forlan, Reyes and another player got into the lift with them and as they got out my mate asked for an autograph for the young lad. Forlan stopped, gave the lad an autograph, and had his picture with the young lad. Whilst Reyes and the other player tried to walk off, Forlan called them back insisting they did the same, reluctantly they did. Ex manc he may be but changed my opinion of him forever, manners and decency amongst highly paid players costs nothing, a gentleman.

Brilliant goalscorer in Spain and has shown Ferguson up with his exploits for Villareal and Atletico. The Mancs failed to get the best out a player who has proved himself to be world class. I know he's 31 now, but I think he could do a job for us for the next three or four years if Atletico are so desperate for cash that they are contemplating selling Aguero to Real Madrid as I read the other day.

I've never wanted him here to be honest and wasn't keen to see him linked with us over the years but after seeing him over the two games he's impressed me.

Seems to be very intelligent in his running and his positioning, honest and hard working.

Exactly the player I thought Kuyt would/should be
