I'm getting confused, I thought Hodgson was supposed to running us on a Shoe-string budget.

Now he'll have £80 million to blow this summer!? Makes no sense, why not go for a high calibre manager and offer them £80 million!! Why the fuck are we getting a wheeler dealer in to spend £80 fucking million, who does Roy know!? His last buy was Senderos and Steve Sidwell, has he ever been at this end of the market before?!

What, the truth about the manager appointment. Not that you are right anyway about Purslow ''telling him stuff''.

Well Bascombe is either a massive bullshitter or Purslow is tipping him off. First all the Rafa being on his way stories and now Purlsow and Dalglsh not being impressed by Pellegrini's interview.

I like Hodgson, I think he's a good manager and i'll have no qualms whatsoever about him taking over.

Personally I think until the ownership situation is sorted we can rule out trying to win the league, best we can hope for is a top 4 finish and win a cup or two. I don't see any reason why Roy can't help us achieve this.

and stop going on about £80m read the article

Your friends article says -

Liverpool believe Hodgson, who is expected to be appointed before pre-season training starts on July 1, will need only three or four top class signings to re-establish the club back amongst the elite.

An initial £15m kitty is available, but this is sure to significantly increase following the sale of Mascherano to Inter and Yossi Benayoun to Chelsea.

It's hoped another £30m can be accumulated if the likes of Ryan Babel, Albert Riera, Emiliano Insua and possibly even Dirk Kuyt are sold.

That will give Hodgson a potential £80m summer kitty.

Yank stooge.
