Taking my ma to Marco Pierre White evening at his restaurant in town next week. He's doing the lunch and evening service.  Should be quite nice. Three course meal and you get to meet him and get a signed apron or some such.

There's a few new Turkish-ish kebab places opened on London road recently but if you want a proper meal go to the Kurdish Real Taste a couple of doors down from the cash converter.

 

It looks a bit shady and intimidating but go in and you wont regret it.  Just had lunch with Lady D and we got

 

Lentil soup on arrival

I got a Chicken Qouzi  which was a spiced chicken leg on a mountain of biriyani rice she got a Lamb one which was huge hunks of lamb on the bone

Aubergine side dish and a Courgette one

2 side salads

2 fresh flatbreads

 

Really tasty, simple and humble food, absolutely delicious. 

 

£6 each.

Next time I’m visiting my godmother in Snowdonia I’ll make an effort to eat at that restaurant.
