Just something I have been thinking about lately.

I cant think of any German managers having had the opportunity at the highest level in English football before, but maybe this could be the way forward for us.

When I think about managers I would put on my shortlist as replacements for Rafa funnily enough a lot of German managers pops up.

10 years later the plan had finally been fulfilled.

Numero and Norwegian Red, the first ones to mention Klopp in this thread, April 2012.

Fair play.

Fucking love Klopp to be fair. I wanted him as manager for a long time. Even when I was driving the Brendan Rodgers bus, like an idiot, I was like it wouldn’t swap him for any other manager (except Klopp). Klopp is fucking great. I still can’t quite believe it happened. Perfect manager for us.

He was. I used to watch the Bundesliga show on itv when they had the highlights and I watched a lot of Bundesliga games back then, probably circa 2012/13 onwards and it was obvious Klopp would suit our club like a velvet glove. The only problem I felt was how FSG allowed him to operate in the transfer market and was he happy to work within these parameters. The answer was that they were both happy with the set up and here we are,the best club in the world again.

I dread it when he leaves though, although hopefully not for ages yet.
