Have we seen a game this season where Masch/Gerrard/Aquilani have all started in the middle? I can't remember a game without Lucas...

 

But I've been waiting to see how those three work together, because I think it could be succesful and the way forward. Hopefully I'll see it tomorrow.

Gerrard wouldn't wear it as the uproar from the Sky pundits would demand Rafa play him in the centre.

 

Exactly - he spent the latter period of his spell on the right sulking and moaning and doing fuck all. The Sky crew built it up into an insult that he was asked to play there and it was endlessly parroted.
